The Nation’s Small Business Owners Have a Say about Senator Barack Obama’s Running Mate
SBTV.com Poll Reveals Obama/Clinton Ticket Not First Choice for Most Business Owners
St. Louis, MO (June 19, 2008) –Some political analysts view Senator Barack Obama’s option of choosing Senator Hillary Clinton as a vice presidential running mate as a “Democratic Dream Ticket.” Small Business Television, SBTV.com, the only video news and information destination site for America's 25 million small businesses, asked entrepreneurs if the bitter primary opponents should settle their differences in time to join forces for the general election.
A new SBTV.com online viewer poll reveals the majority of small business owners voting don’t believe the former opponents should join forces. Only 28 percent of the respondents think an Obama/Clinton ticket is a good idea. More than sixty-one percent indicate another leader would be a better choice. Ten percent of the voters in the online survey don’t have an opinion on Obama’s choice for a running mate.
Earlier this year, an online SBTV.com found most of the small business owners responding like Obama as a candidate, but believe the Republican Party best represents the interests of business owners.
