New York, NY (October 25, 2007) –Small business journalist, successful business owner  and best selling author, Susan Wilson Solovic celebrated the growing power of women-owned business and her new book today in a reception sponsored by OPEN from American Express ®.  Solovic is expanding her popular ‘Girl’s Guide’ book series with an edition dedicated to women business owners working to surpass the million dollar mark.   The new book, The Girls' Guide to Building a Million-Dollar Business, is being introduced with festivities in both Saint Louis and New York.

 

Solovic’s hard work was celebrated by some of the nation’s top business leaders, media representatives and publishing executives in a reception at 3 West Club.  The theme of the book extended to the party refreshments including ‘Susan’s Million Dollar Martini’.  Renowned jazz pianist Ray Kennedy entertained the large group

 

During remarks to a large group of fellow business owners, media, friends and family, Solovic talked about the process of not only writing the book, but the lessons she has learned that she is prompted to share with other women entrepreneurs.  These are hard-won lessons and tested tips that Solovic has used to guide her own company, SBTV.com, to the million-dollar level and beyond.  She encounters these critical issues to building a business every day as she works with growing enterprises as the head of the world’s only online television network dedicated to small business.
